Somatic Therapy for liberation and healing

“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries.
Without them, humanity cannot survive.” ~ Dalai Lama XIV

Individual Therapy Online: What to Expect

  • Getting Started

You and I will get to know each other in the first few sessions. During these initial meetings, we will get clear about your goals for therapy and develop a plan together to work in the ways that feel right to you. If you don’t know exactly what you need, no worries! My role as your therapist is to support and guide you as you begin your healing journey. This includes helping you to clarify your vision of what will be most beneficial for you, and moving in that direction.

  • Walking the Path

As you deepen into your healing journey, we will spend time addressing the issues and challenges that brought you to therapy. Together we’ll explore your inner landscape and embodied experiences. I will also help you to cultivate skills, self-awareness, and conscious embodiment to improve, support and sustain your mental health. Some examples of this include (but are not limited to): developing coping skills, processing trauma, learning to reframe familiar patterns, setting boundaries, engaging with psychoeducation, and utilizing body-based practices.

  • Process & Integration

Your process is unique to you, and the path towards healing is not always straightforward. My job is to support you in moving towards healing and integration, and work with you on any challenges or obstacles that may arise on the way. Therapy can be brief ( a few weeks/months) or extended (several years), and anything in between. I make it a point to have regular check ins with you about where you are in the process and what appropriate next steps might be. The pace of the work is determined by what feels right for you. As your therapist, I will provide a safe container for our work together, and offer gentle, clear, and boundaried guidance.
